The full text of the interview is as follows:

Question: The 16th Resistance International Film Festival will launch soon, how come that such an event with the main theme of "resistance" is vital?

Answer: The media, especially cinema, plays a key role in the reflection of the concept of resistance. Illustrations can record and sustain Muslims' legitimacy. No exorbitant government can stand against images and deny them, even if it is the Zionist Regime of Israel and the US.
You highlight the documentation of what is going on in the Middle East and Palestine
Here I have to mention two films that have started this path such as the films directed by Syrian director Martyr Mustafa Agha, Muhammad Rasool Allah (PBUH), and Omar al-Mukhtar.
These two films were very important, enjoying the religious and spiritual theme, simultaneously, they had a fascinating cinematic structure.
Religious series which produce in countries such as Iran, Syria, and Lebanon usually have a large audience in the Middle East and among the Muslims.
The series "Joseph the Prophet" (Directed by Farajullah Salahshour) was very successful so that each of us has watched it over ten times, but we do not get tired of it.
Because the "Joseph the Prophet" series with hidden a successful religious and spiritual concept benefits the audiences in the form of spectacular and attractive work.

Q: To what extent the festival could be successful to spread the culture of resistance, which is a necessity for the Muslim community around the world?

A: As I mentioned at the beginning of the discussion, today's cinema is an effective medium and a universal communication tool
The existence of an international cinematic festival with the purpose and intention of spreading the culture of resistance and portray the Muslim oppression to the world is a pleasure. I wish this festival to continue with full strength.

Q: What works do you think the Islamic world needs in the field of producing film and series?
I think there is a need to produce films and serials about the Holy Prophet (PBUH) or the Imams. There are many facts in the Muslim world that have been neglected.
Given the circumstances and the existence of religious constraints that everyone knows, making such works is essential.

Q: The "health defenders" section is one of the special sections of this festival. The coronavirus issue and the health workers' efforts not only limited to Iran but also have engaged the whole world.
How much can this event illustrate the epic that is going on in the Islamic world?

A: Paying tribute to those who risk their lives and sacrifices themselves to save other people is very important and impressive. In fact, these people are heroes. Everyone that loses his or her life to save other people's lives is considered a martyr. It is a very impressive thing that I see the medical staff work round the clock to save other patients.
In fact, the health workers also dubbed the "White Army" or "The Defenders of Health" should be honored forever and on any occasion. It is also a very good initiative to honor them at the 16th International Resistance Film Festival which such jihad is still ongoing.

Q: These days, the Middle East is shocked at the Beirut explosion. Following this tragic incident that claimed several lives where do you think this bitter incident originated?
A: The search continues to find the reason for such an event. Probably the Zionist regime is behind it. It is better to wait for the results of our research. We do not trust the American or Western research. If there are clues from the presence of Israel, Western investigations will undoubtedly hide them.
I feel a terrorist incident has happened in the port of Beirut. Such materials have remained in the port for six years, without anyone being able to transport them. But I do not hurry and wait for the result of the investigation.
